ACTIVITIES AT LIPNO LAKE

Playground directly in Residence Lipno

Right in the heart of our Residence Lipno, we have set up a playground for our little guests.

The dragon invites all children to play and romp around. It towers high into the sky and offers an unforgettable view from the top. There are also swings, a small castle with a slide, and a hexagonal tower with rope ladders. Of course, there are also swings for the youngest children.

Nothing prevents you from enjoying a coffee, a glass of wine or something delicious from the grill (which you can rent at our reception) on the terrace of your house or bungalow, and your children will have fun with the dragon Kuba and other children in our playground.

Lipno.card

The Lipno.card is a customer card that you  can pick up at the Lipno Infocenter or register online at www.lipnocard.cz.

After your stay, you can return the card or keep it for your next visits to Lipno.

In winter, the Lipno.card serves as a ski pass for the Lipno ski area (therefore, a Lipno.card is required for each person).

Register your Lipno.card at lipnocard.cz and benefit from discounts at Lipno.

Treetop Walk

Stroll along a unique panoramic walkway high in the treetops. The 675-meter-long path, featuring a 40-meter-high hexagonal tower, offers not only breathtaking panoramic views but also several educational stations that expand children's knowledge about nature and its conservation. The treetop walkway also includes three adventure stations with rope elements – all at a height of 24 meters  - high up in the treetops.

You can either stroll along the path or slide down the 52-meter-long slide, which is sure to delight not only children (aged 6 and up) but also adults. A major advantage of the path is its complete accessibility. Pets simply need to be left at the entrance, where special kennels are provided.

Forest Kingdom

The forest kingdom is a playground for all generations.

The play elements are harmoniously integrated into the woodland landscape of Kramolín Hill, where the Forest Kingdom is located. Rope obstacles, climbing frames, tree houses, swings, an inflatable trampoline...

A wealth of attractions for the whole family over a very long period of time.

The Forest Kingdom is located near the toptree walk. You can easily reach it on foot, by bicycle on marked hiking trails, by the Stezka bus, or by cable car.

Active Park Lipno

During the summer months, the Lipno ski resort transforms into the Lipno Active Park.

Enjoy an exciting day out for the whole family. Parents with children, as well as adrenaline-pumping adventures for teenagers and adults, will find plenty to do just 1 km from Residence Lipno. The Lipno Adventure Park, with its many attractions, is open from spring to autumn. Exact opening times are weather dependent.

Aquaworld Lipno

Indoor water paradise & sauna in the heart of Lipno nad Vltavou overlooking Lake Lipno.

At Aquaworld you will find a pool with a shallow entry, a counter-current system, a slide for children, a whirlpool, a swimming pool and a sauna.

Aquaworld is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00.

Sauna open Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on weekends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Wellness & Sport Lipno

Just under 300 meters from Residence Lipno is a sauna area with various types of saunas (Finnish sauna, herbal sauna) and a steam room. There are also whirlpools and a relaxation room overlooking Lake Lipno.

The wellness area also includes a sports arena where you can play bowling, tennis, badminton and squash, as well as climb the climbing wall or try out the golf simulator.

Wellness & Schwimmbäder Frymburk

Just 9 km from Residence Lipno you will find an area with a heated outdoor and indoor pool including a water slide. Sauna area, salt cave, wellness area with Sothys cosmetic treatments and Thai massages. 

After an eventful day full of activities in Lipno, it is important that you relax and unwind. 

The water park and sauna area are open from 11:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Friday and from 10:00 to 21:00 on weekends and public holidays.

Don't forget to visit the underwater world during your stay.

Underwater World

Spanning 500 square meters, the Frymburk Wellness Hotel features over 30 aquariums showcasing freshwater and saltwater fish. Discover the underwater world and recharge your batteries in this peaceful realm, waiting to be explored. The exhibition was conceived by renowned underwater explorer Steve Lichtag in collaboration with the Frymburk Wellness Hotel.

You will see aquariums with freshwater and marine fish as well as artifacts, but you will also try virtual reality, for example diving with sharks!

Bad Schallerbach / AT

Just an hour and a half's drive from Residence Lipno lies the Bad Schallerbach thermal baths. An ideal place for a family outing to the water park. Children are guaranteed to have lots of fun in the pirate-themed area, both in the indoor and outdoor pools. 

Parents will certainly appreciate the wellness treatments, saunas and thermal baths. 

The premises include a restaurant and a wine club.

2 Bobsleigh tracks Lipno

Bobsledding all year round? In Lipno, anything is possible. And that's on two bobsled tracks: one in a riverbed and one in a mountain, both winding their way into each other.

Both tracks offer plenty of fun and adrenaline. Here, in the only place in the Czech Republic, you can try both types of bobsleigh track in one location.

The roller coaster is ideal for families with children thanks to safety belts and automatic brakes. The trough roller coaster offers a more sporty ride experience. On both roller coasters, you can regulate your speed at any time using the manual brake.

A lift takes you up the hill, so you don't have to worry about anything and can just ride.

Cycling and inline skating trail Jezerní

Just 200 meters from Residence Lipno, a cycle path runs along the shore of Lake Lipno, its gentle profile making it suitable for the whole family. It features only slight inclines, offers beautiful views of the lake, and allows swimming along almost its entire length during the summer months. The path is not only suitable for bicycles, but also for inline skating, roller skiing, or simply a leisurely stroll. In winter, when there is sufficient snow, it can be used as a cross-country ski trail.

For the whole family, we recommend a leisurely hike from Residence Lipno along the trail towards Frymburk (9 km). From Frymburk, take the ferry to Frýdava and from there hike along the right shore of the lake to Přední Výton (this section follows a quiet road). From Přední Výton, cross the causeway back to Lipno nad Vltavou. The entire route is approximately 20 km long and, apart from two short climbs, follows the lakeshore – making it very easy. You'll find plenty of places to eat and drink in Frymburk, Frýdava, Přední Výton, and Lipno nad Vltavou.

Adventure Golf is located less than 150 meters from Residence Lipno.

A unique 18-hole golf course that stretches across the grounds of a botanical garden with a waterfall and two lakes.

Refreshments are also available, and in summer there is the option to play under artificial lighting in the evenings.

Ski area Lipno

The Lipno ski resort is ideal for families with children and beginners. Thanks to the wide, groomed slopes, modern lifts, and the Fox Park children's ski area, you can enjoy carefree skiing. The resort offers excellent facilities, including a ski school and ski rental, as well as numerous other activities. Skiing in Lipno is an experience for the whole family!

Ski area Frymburk / 6 Km 

Looking for a smaller, but cozy ski resort? Then Frymburk Ski Park is just the place for you. It's the perfect choice for families with young children who are just starting out on skis. Thanks to its manageable size, it's ideal for a relaxed ski holiday without the crowds. Although the ski area is smaller, it offers everything you need, including a children's slope and ski school. A great place for your first steps on skis!

Ski area Sternstein / 25 Km (AT)

Looking for top-notch skiing combined with a trip abroad? Not far from Lipno, just across the border in Austria, lies the Sternstein ski resort. This resort is ideal for experienced skiers and families seeking longer, more varied slopes. It boasts a modern cable car and impeccably groomed pistes. From Lipno, you can reach Sternstein in just a few minutes, allowing you to explore the Austrian slopes without having to travel long distances.

Ski area Hochficht / 70Km (AT)

For those who love top-level skiing in the Alps but don't want to travel far, Hochficht is the perfect choice. It's the largest and most modern ski resort near Lipno, with over 20 km of slopes for all skill levels. Hochficht is ideal for anyone who wants to ski all day and enjoy the variety of slopes and the magnificent views. The ski resort offers excellent conditions for both families and advanced skiers.
